传记

Dr. 谢伊负担 received her BBA from newbb电子平台 in 2004, her MBA from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 2009, and a DBA from the University of Scranton in 2021. She has earned her CMA, CPA and was part of the inaugural class of recipients of the IRC in 2016. She received the honor of being part of the 2019 inaugural class of 40 under 40 for the National Investor Relations Institute.

After completing her BBA, 非洲酪脂树 went to work for Deloitte & 讲得好!.  Following working in public accounting, she did a finance development rotation program for a company called Lubrizol where she spent time in general accounting, 内部审计, SOX management and business process improvements at a plant in Deer Park, 德州.  She then moved on to SEC Accounting where she worked on writing the MD&A and footnotes for Form 10-Qs and 10-Ks.  Her next pursuit was investor relations where she worked her way up from analyst to manager and drafted CEO and CFO earnings call scripts and Board of Directors presentations as well as talked to investors.  Her final role before coming to teach at newbb电子平台 in 2017 was Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. She also built a Barbershop in Richmond, 德州 and owned it from 2015 to 2019. 

非洲酪脂树 is an Assistant Professor in the School of Accountancy at newbb电子平台 and Director of the Copeland Scholars Honors Program. She believes we never know how our actions will impact the future of others so service to the community and a commitment to excellence are a lifestyle, 不仅仅是行为. She served as the 2019-2021 Community Impact Chair for the Mid-Western Region of Jack and Jill of America, 公司. and Treasurer for the Central Ohio Chapter of National Investor Relations Institute. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Columbus Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, 公司. as well as the Mid-Western Region Lead Teen Advisor.

• 11月. 2020 - 2月. 2021: Regional Double Good Fundraiser – Lead and organized the teens across the region to sell over $500K of popcorn to fundraise over $250K for the community.
• 11月. 2020 - 2月. 2021: Souper Bowl of Caring – Donating food items to tackle hunger.
• 10月. 2020 - 11月. 2020: Supporting Teen Mothers - Lead effort to help teen African American mothers with $8,873 of donations from amazon wish lists and $4,婴儿派对525美元, and we provided stroller/car seats, 摇篮, 秋千和玩具围栏.
• 9月. 2020 - 10月. 2020: Spirit Driven Masks – 2,945 masks donated to essential workers.
• May 2020: Regional Day of Service Webinars - Organized three webinars focused on mental health for mothers, graduating seniors and all teens.
• 3月. 2020 - 4月. 2020: Jack and Jill of Foundation Grants - Grant review and scoring for the Jack and Jill of Foundation.
• 11月. 2019 - 2月. 2020: Souper Bowl of Caring – Donating food items to tackle hunger.
• 10月. 2019 - 11月. 2019: Area Workday Conference Service – Lead an initiative with NAMI to lead members to write 544 encouraging notes and give $5,440 in gift cards to individuals battling mental illness. Organized effort to donate 1,119 books and 230 puzzles for children going through the intake process for mental health.
