Overview

COST是包括newbb电子平台在内的美国高校的合作项目. COST locations include Australia, Belize, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa and Spain.  

COST offers a highly personalized experience abroad. 学生在出发前得到俄亥俄州巴顿教育学院成本协调员的支持和指导. Upon placement, 学生被指派一名海外现场协调员协助国内后勤工作. In addition, 参与者与现场的导师老师一起工作，导师老师作为榜样, coach and evaluator in the school setting.  

When possible, students participating in COST live with a host family, 获得充分融入东道国文化的机会. Living Arrangements 

Accommodations will vary depending on location. Some participants live with a family, while others live with other students/teachers, on-campus, or make arrangements to live on their own. 学生通常负责安排自己的住房, in consultation with the overseas site coordinator.

Academics  

Before going abroad, 成本参与者需要参加EDTE 4300海外学生教学(3学分)(仅在春季学期提供), permission only*).

COST students must complete regular registration for EDPL 4580, EDPL 4610或EDPL 4630专业实习和EDPL 4650专业实习研讨会.

成本学生必须通过全球机会办公室完成以下专业实习经历之一的注册:

• EDPL 4590幼儿与基础教育专业实习(6学分)
• EDPL 4620儿童中期专业实习(6学分)
• EDPL 4640中学专业实习(6学分)

Cost

In addition to the program fee, students should plan for 6 credit hours of tuition*, administrative fee, and out-of-pocket costs. 下面是这个项目的学生预算工作表，它概述了这些费用.

Requirements 

参与者必须是newbb电子平台的学生，并且已经完成了newbb电子平台巴顿教育学院专业实习的所有先决条件. Students must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA as well as a minimum 3.0 GPA in their content area[s] of specialization. 

这种体验是为准备独立出国旅行的学生设计的. 成功的申请人必须具有较高的成熟度，并且必须愿意在国外独立生活和工作. An interview with the program director is required.  

在项目期间的任何时候，因在项目开始日期后不到一个日历年的时间内发生的行为违规而被留校察看的学生不得出国留学. Read the entire conduct policy.  

Entry and Exit Requirements 

U.S. citizens are required to have a valid U.S. passport when traveling outside of the United States. If you plan to study or travel abroad in the next year,  apply for your passport  now. 一些国家还需要签证才能合法进入或居住在该国.
