丹麦: Danish School of 媒体 and Journalism 交换

概述 

The Scripps College of Communication 视觉传达学院 is proud to announce its new exchange program with the Danish School of 媒体 and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus, 丹麦.  

DMJX is a fusion of two Danish institutions in located Aarhus and Copenhagen. The Aarhus location offers degrees in Journalism, Photojournalism and Communication. DMJX has a stellar reputation among photojournalists, producing a high number of award-winners in the field. 申请过程非常严格, 在他们学习的过程中, students are exposed to both Danish and international experts. 

2020年春天, DMJX will be relocating to a brand new building featuring state-of-the-arts facilities. 

Aarhus is 丹麦's second-largest city and is a lively cultural hub. In addition to DMJX and other smaller institutions, Aarhus is home to Aarhus University. The city center has a bustling pedestrian boulevard with shops, restaurants and bars. The Aarhus Art Museum (ARoS) is a must-see. You can also visit a large open-air folk museum, 维京博物馆, attend concerts or other entertainment events.

DMJX will support exchange students with finding housing in private accommodations in the city of Aarhus. 学生 cook their own food and/or eat in university cafeterias and restaurants.

Participants will enroll full-time in courses alongside Danish and international students. Courses will be taught in English and students will receive transfer credit for their coursework abroad.

Items that are not related to the program (i.e., 更多的娱乐, 纪念品, 额外的旅行, contingency funds) are not included in the cost estimates provided and should be budgeted for separately.

• Non-resident surcharge waived for the credit hours associated with this program. 
• 如果你被提名参加这个项目, you will be required to pay a deposit to confirm your participation. The deposit is a down payment on the total costs to be billed by 俄亥俄州 and is determined by the total cost of the program.

资格及要求 

The DMJX exchange program gives preference to undergraduate VisCom students majoring in photojournalism. 学生 in other Scripps College majors are also encouraged to apply and may be considered, 如果篇幅允许的话. Applicants should have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above and should plan to travel spring of sophomore year, 大三秋天, 或者是高三的春天.  

学生 who will be on probation at any point during the program for a conduct offense that took place less than a calendar year from the program start date may not study abroad. 阅读完整的行为准则. 

This program does not accept Non-俄亥俄州 students. 

被考虑参加这个项目, participants must have a at least a high school diploma or the equivalent (e.g. 在课程开始日期前取得GED). Additionally, students should have completed one year of college by the time of travel. 学生 enrolled in College Credit Plus (CC+) are not eligible for study away programs.

U.S. 公民必须持有有效的美国护照.S. passport when traveling outside of the United States. If you plan to study or travel abroad in the next year,  申请护照  现在. Some countries also require a visa to legally enter or reside in the country. 

 学生 on the 丹麦 交换 program who are US 公民 are required to apply for a residence permit in order to reside in 丹麦 for over 90 days. 学生 will apply for this permit before departing for 丹麦. Detailed instructions and assistance will be provided as part of the orientation for the program.
