泰国:野生动物和保护

概述 

泰国 is a biodiverse country with varied habitats, 还有包括大象在内的各种野生动物, 猴子, 吉本斯, 蝙蝠, 爬行动物, 节肢动物和鸟类. 像许多国家一样, 泰国 faces challenges to maintaining biodiversity including social and economic development, 污染, and climate change; however, 泰国 is committed to wildlife and habitat conservation. The Wildlife and Conservation program in 泰国 will provide students a unique opportunity to understand conservation issues and solutions affecting 泰国’s diverse wildlife. 学生 will explore several National Parks and protected areas including coral reefs where we will study the wildlife and conservation practices. 学生 will understand wildlife habitat associations, 识别对自然保育的威胁, consider human dimensions in conservation planning and identify research and conservation actions needed to implement conservation planning.

• Tour of the highlights of Bangkok including the Grand Palace and Wat Pho.
• 访问 the CBT Mangrove restoration project outside of Bangkok.

资格

This program is open to all newbb电子平台 students (undergraduates and graduates) who are in good conduct standing. Participants must have completed the pre-requisite BIOS 1710/15 or equivalent.

Participants must have a at least a high school diploma or the equivalent (e.g. GED) by the start date of the program to be considered for eligibility.  学生 enrolled in College Credit Plus (CC+) are not eligible for study away programs.

U.S. 公民  will not  need a visa or other special document to enter the country for the length of this program. Please also note that visa requirements may vary if you plan to stay in the country longer than the program dates or travel to other countries during or after the program. Please familiarize yourself with these recommendations and requirements prior to applying to this program.
