UK: 苏格兰: Edinburgh - City and Environment

This environmentally-focused study abroad program takes place in Edinburgh, 苏格兰 and is tailored to students in the Ohio Honors and 1804 Scholars programs. 在这里, in one of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities, students will spend four weeks studying 城市的历史 and sustainability. 类的讲座, 演讲嘉宾, and frequent field trips will introduce students to key concepts relating to 城市规划 and governance, 基础设施设计与管理, 资源供应和保护, 城市生态学, 以及社会和环境正义.

学生 in the Ohio Honors and 1804 Scholars programs earn one curricular and two co-curriculars, all of which count towards graduation with Ohio Honors. More specifically, students will enroll in a section of HC 2905 - Edinburgh: City and Environment.

The program fee for this program includes: Student accommodations, 苏格兰历史通道, 公共汽车通过, 远足,  one group meal per week (for a total of 5), and international medical health insurance.

• Non-resident surcharge waived for the credit hours associated with this program.

资格及要求 

This program is open to full-time Ohio Honors and 1804 Scholars students at newbb电子平台 who are interested in environmental studies, 城市的历史, 城市规划和可持续性.

When applying, students will be required to submit:

• a 1-2 page personal statement explaining why they are interested in the program, and

Applicants must complete a pre-departure orientation as well as an interview with the Program Director.

Participants must have a at least a high school diploma or the equivalent (e.g. GED) by the start date of the program to be considered for eligibility.  学生 enrolled in College Credit Plus (CC+) are not eligible for study away programs.

U.S. 公民 are required to have a valid U.S. passport when traveling outside of the United States. If you plan to study or travel abroad in the next year,  申请护照  现在. Some countries also require a visa to legally enter or reside in the country. 

U.S. 公民  will not  need a visa or other special document to enter the country for the length of this program. Please also note that visa requirements may vary if you plan to stay in the country longer than the program dates or travel to other countries during or after the program. Please familiarize yourself with these recommendations and requirements prior to applying to this program.
