Join us for hands-on, creative exploration in the fine arts! 青少年暑期艺术 include high-quality, community-driven programs from 雅典 Community 音乐 School and 发脾气剧院 as well as medium-specific, exploratory offerings in 艺术与设计 and 电影. Across our different programs, elementary and middle-school students work alongside practicing artists and performers from our university community and beyond to develop and realize their ideas and their potential.
Our faculty develop curriculum with different age groups and experience levels in mind, please see course details for eligibility and individual course schedules.

Intro to Painting: Unconventional Portraits: Ages 10–14
Faces are among the first things we recognize and the first things we draw. Students in this week-long course will learn fundamental drawing skills, and how to build on those skills with techniques for paint as they explore the portrait through art history. Projects will also incorporate non-traditional materials and processes used by contemporary artists.

Sculpture: Contemporary Art Machines: Ages 10–14
Art and design mix with engineering in this studio where students will build sculptural and mechanical art objects. Students will look at contemporary arts who work with machines to draw inspiration for their own pieces. 木, 线, and fabric will create form and students will deconstruct and rebuild circuits, using motors and other electronic components to create work that has a life of its own.
