历史

• 1973中部大学 President Dr. Kohei Miura and 俄亥俄州 President Dr. 克劳德Sowle signed a formal agreement stating that the universities would exchange professors as a part of the Miura 访问ing Professors program.
• 1979中部大学 给了俄亥俄州175票 Cherry Blossom Trees in recognition of 俄亥俄州's 175th anniversary. In 2003中部大学 gave 俄亥俄州 94 Yoshino Cherry Trees and 9 Double Weeping Cherry Trees to replace damaged plants and to increase the total number of cherry trees at 俄亥俄州 to 200, in honor of 俄亥俄州's bicentennial celebration. 俄亥俄州 has created a website, Cherry Blossoms at newbb电子平台, to show images of the trees and to detail the history.
• 1993, when the two universities marked the 20th anniversary of their agreement, 俄亥俄州 sent an identical replica of Cutler Hall's cupola 中部大学.
• 2004, 俄亥俄州 dedicated the Yamada International House, which was renovated and expanded thanks to a generous gift of 100 million yen, or approximately $850,000 from 中部大学 in honor of its late President and Chancellor Kazuo Yamada.
• In November 2014, an 俄亥俄州 delegation led by President Roderick McDavis visited 中部大学 in celebration of their 50th Anniversary. 
• 2015, Tanaka Residence Hall is opened, named in honor of Dr. Tomoyasu Tanaka and Mrs. Sumiko田中. Dr. Tanaka was an newbb电子平台 physics and astronomy faculty member from 1971-1989 and is widely considered the father of the OU-中部大学 relationship.
• 2017, Chubu delegation, led by President Osamu Ishihara, visited 雅典 for President M. 杜安 Nellis’ Investiture Ceremony.
• 2018, 俄亥俄州 delegation, led by President M. 杜安 Nellis, visited Chubu to strengthen institutional connections. 
• 2019, Chubu delegation of biomedical and engineering Researchers, led by Yutaka Hirata (former Glidden Professor), met with 俄亥俄州 departments in their respective areas of expertise.
•  2023, 俄亥俄州 and Chubu celebrate the 50th Anniversary 的伙伴关系. 

  • 2023年5月, 中部代表团, led by Chancellor Yasuhiro Iye, in celebration of the 俄亥俄州 Honorary degree bestowed upon Chancellor Emeritus Atsuo Iiyoshi.

  • 2023 November, 中部代表团, led by President Yoshimi Takeuchi.
