The 气候 and Sustainability Ambassadors
我们做什么:
可持续发展管理中心办公室自豪地赞助了气候和可持续发展大使. The Ambassadors are an initiative started by Dr. Ryan Fogt在2019年春天与可持续管理中心一起启动.
The Ambassadors spend Fall semester participating, 促进, 并在校园内举办活动，促进newbb电子平台的可持续发展.
In the Spring semester the Ambassadors are still on campus, but focus on outreach in the surrounding communities in Southeast Ohio.
Entering Spring semester 2023, we are excited to partner with area organizations, 如社区食品倡议和雅典城市学校，以最大限度地参与致力于改善生活和实现环境行动目标的社区行动!

- We welcomed 34 new Ambassadors over the last three semesters!
- With the help of our new and continuing Ambassadors, we volunteered at 24 events and counting over the last two semesters!
- Those 24 events of volunteering always turn out to be a great time, and between the people that volunteered, we counted 296 total volunteer hours!

- We are not a club; we have no elections or formal leadership structure.
- We have business meetings no more than once a month.

I appreciate the way the group is orchestrated, as events are posted throughout the semester, so you can plan and see what events you want to be a part of. Events like green games, where you divert recyclables from the trash during a sporting event, feel extremely impactful to our campus. 我也觉得我学到了很多关于可持续发展在大学校园里的样子. 鼓励可持续发展最重要的方式是与他人沟通并参与其中!
